If you have a laptop, bring it along and download the images so that you can view them on the monitor. Check their sharpness, resolution and detail.

I would also definitely check the shutter actuations which can be found by using the steps found in this technical paper at Biofos.com

Good luck

Great lonk Zig, thanks for posting it. I might have to try the custom ISO idea as I'd love to be able to shoot at 50 or lower for macro work, espcially with a ring flash.

Thanks very much for all the Help.
I just came and picked up the camera
Everything seemed to work . It came with the orig reciept. July 09
I took a shot in all modes . Momory pins OK
Shutter actuation count is 222 not the 160 shots claimed .
The camera is too much for her and it was never taken out of Auto mode
now I have a lot of reading to do. Time to start having fun
I am sure I will press Ctrl Alt Panic some time.

Congrats, you got a great deal on it, 160-220 not a big deal, I burn through that in 30min sometimes Enjoy your new toy. It does underexpose a bit indoors and poor lighting, so set the EV to +1/3 when in those conditions.

Actually, it's normal to have 80-200 shots already taken on a NEW camera as Olympus does tests and adjustments on EVERY camera...don't know how many times someone has checked the shutter count on their brand new camera and thought that it was already used.

With that in mind, the possibility that the original owner took 160 shots is not unbelievable...but again a moot point whether it's 160 shots or 222 shots since it is so low.

Default Got it Resolved

Got it resolved
I set the Live View Mode AF mode to factory default. [ IMAGER AF ]
It was set to [ AF SENSOR ] Which ( I Think ) over rides the " Anti shock "
because the mirror is droped right after you take the picture. causing a
delay for the next picture .( Again I Think )
Any way, now live view is is OK , but with live view off a little quicker

Thanks again for all the help.

Fred..
