I just bought an EC-14 on Amazon, LNIB (including the warranty card) for $295; B&H sells it new for $360. So as Zig said, $310 for an EC-20 is a good price if it's in good shape.

Just curious if you noticed a sizeable difference in the AF time when combining this with various lenses and if so which lenses did you notice the most difference with? I have the two Zuiko lenses it came with ( 14-42 & 40-150) and a 50-500mm f/4-6.3 EX DG APO HSM RF f0r Olympus AF. Thanks again.
Hi,

Congrats and good luck with it!

Unfortunately I don't have any of the 3 lenses that you've listed. I've tested the EC-20 with the 50-200mm ED ZD lens, the 12-60mm SWD lens, a 70-300mm ZD lens, and a Sigma 135-400mm Sigma APO DG. I honestly don't notice much of a difference in AF speed with the 50-200mm or the 12-60mm.
Unless, the lighting is marginal. With the 135-400mm and the 70-300mm, I've not had much luck with it as both lenses have a tendency to hunt in anything but really bright light.

I'd like to mention that I bought the EC-14 in preparation for a trip, thinking about a very compact camera bag. What I'm taking is a camera body, the lightweight and tack sharp PL 14-150mm (the second best 4/3 zoom lens after the ZD SHQ 35-100 IMHO), the ZD 9-18, and the EC-14.

Hi, Zig

Going to the Chicago suburbs to help my parents with some work on their house. Oy.

But hoping to also get into the city for some photography. It could happen...

I see a trip into the city in your future......I hope you can take advantage and get some pierogi and capushniak while you're there.

Zig

P.S. for those not familiar with the latter statement, those are two extremely difficult to find fast prime lenses.(gotta keep it about photography)
