Default OK.....DSLR Forum Again...

With three of the last four posts being about the NON-DSLR MICRO FOUR THIRDS system, it's time for a DSLR-related post in the...DSLR forum..

Shot with the E30 and 50-200 SWD in the last hour of daylight..

beautiful warm light Greg, I really like the modeling in the muscles of the horses hind quarters from the low angle sun. nicely done.

I apologize if my e-pl1 post was distracting, there is no micro ft forum on steve's & this is the only site I really visit for information, as I do not like the billboard type format of dpreview.

If it really bothered me that much I wouldn't have contributed! I'm trying to ween myself off the forums on that site too.

Thanks, Charles.

Hi Greg,

I hope I was as good at picking winners at the track as you are photographing the racers.

Oh well, ho humm...............Just another series, in a long line of spectacular images.

Nothing to have been taken seriously!

With the high contrast and deep shadows, I turned on RAW+JPEG and did some RAW processing in ACR, using the Blacks, Fill Light and Recovery sliders to try and control the two extremes.

Having made some selections in the Camera RAW preferences window that now gives me close to the in-camera outlook to begin with, I can now tweek adjustments and keep the great colors the camera gave me to start with.

I always enjoy your racing shots. Have you won enough to buy some more camera equipment yet? LOL!!

P.S. to Sarah. Nice to see your comments. We haven't heard from you lately.

Those are great shots and great lighting. The first and last hour are the best to photograph in my opinion, the lighting always adds to the shot.
