......I agree Ted, USM, the acronym, has never made sense to me but then many such don't, reminds me of many thousands of acronym's I dreamed up during 48 years of writing & documenting computer code.

BUT! I do like peanut butter & sweet pickle relish sandwiches which to me makes more sense than does an Oly manual.

Often wondered....not for too long, I get headaches...about why they called it "USM"
There I used it, the acronym that is.

For me you're getting close to over the top on that comparison, but I can go with it for now...

Thanks for that HTH. I remember this from when I first got the camera.

He sets all his sharpening features with a minus setting. -1 to -2

So that brings up the question: Does the plus or minus Have a similar meaning as to Sharp and unsharp...? No don't answer, thanks.

Now I've got that headache back. I'll just continue to work with and learn "Lightroom."
