Default A departure...

... from my usual black velvet background. I shot these with the 14-42mm against posterboard.

cool different set up the first pic is great, but the second pic is on the cool(color temp) side, unless that was intentional.

It was, indeed, intentional. First one was shot at f6.3 with a red gel. Second one at f14 with no gel. Both bounced.

Thanks, Zig. They're the perfect subject. They don't fidget & whine, they're beautiful, don't cost anything, no contracts, always available, and they look great on the dinner table as a centerpiece.

Difficult to decide, I almost think I prefer the white background over the black.

For the particular shade of this day lily, I prefer white, too. I keep playing around just to see the results and how the lights interact. Keeps my old mind active so I don't... uh... hmmmm... uh... never mind.
