Default Two "spot light filter" shots

Actually, two effects and three images.

created via Photoshop's Lighting effects soft omni filter, then faded to taste. Images shot with the E30 and 50-200 SWD plus the EX25..



Same process as above, but with radial blur also added for the zoom-like effect.

I like the first one, the middle one gives me a headache, something about the out of focus area, maybe too large. I'd love to see one of the originals to compare, you've certainly done some nice things to these.

I'll have to post the original files this evening. I thought about posting them all together to show a before and after and decided not to.

That's funny about #2! Now that I look at it with your comments in mind I can see your point. Playing with the radial blur filter is a lot of fun in working out the power to use. The effect in that image is fairly low, but it does not take much. I duplicated the layer in both images 2 and 3, added a layer mask and painted through the top layer to reveal in the sharper middle part of the lower layer in increasing opacities from the center to make the transition from sharp to blurred gradual.
