Default E-520 and 70-300 dark shot.

I took this picture of a Robin just before sunset 9 : 30 pm
getting dark and between 2 buildings
I was supprised how well it came out with the 70-300 lense
300mm ISO 800 F 8.0 Shutter 1/25 Monopod

Hi Fred,

I agree. Given the shutter speed was 1/25sec. that is indeed a good shot.
I did note you used a monopod, nonetheless, at that focal length, the image is in very good focus.

Hi Zig.

Yes I did use a monopod . I shake al lot. Even with the monopod I had
movement. I guess the IS took care of that. After 6 weeks of owning the 70-300 I am still experimenting.
IMO My best shots with the 70-300 are at F 8 to 10 , ISO 100 to 400 , shutter 200 +
BUT with poor light what can you do . " Hope for a Good picture "

F8 is kind of the "sweet spot" for the 70-300.
