Default Thanks

Many thanks Greg, you went above and beyond. Side by side I'm stunned by the ACR versions. Obviously Viewer produces JPEGs that are a bit dogish but even so the ACR ones are sharp, crisp and show little to no noise. I'm going to have to look into it even though that would mean getting a new Elements as well. Or else find a way to get the Topaz plug ins to produce results that good (so far I'm pleased with them but I imagine it is much faster to use ACR)

Very nice shots, Greg. You pictures are always dead sharp. Do you shoot hand held?

Yes, that's why I will usually shoot at a higher ISO setting, to keep shutter speeds up, which is also why I'm so excited about the new software and how it handles the type noise produced in Olympus cameras compared to past software.

It opens up many more options, like using the EC20 more in the future at smaller aperture settings like f11 without the fear of having to use higher ISO settings and having problems dealing with noise reduction. ISO 1600 is my new ISO 400, and even the higher settings work well.

Yes, I have seen some excellent images from the EPL1 at ISO 1000+.
