Default A sea of Susans

My friend and neighbor has a beautiful stand of Black Eyed Susans growing in his front yard. I took these last evening:

They're really attention-getters, aren't they? Nice shots, Zig!

Nice shots Ziggy, with neighbours like that you don't have to travel far, do you?

Thanks........
When you drive into his driveway the flowers are there in front of you and it is a magnificent scene. I have yet to do them justice.

Hi Ken,
Yes, I count my lucky stars, I live in an area as beautiful as this. I pinch myself occasionally to make sure I'm not dreaming.

Up here, in the Northeast, it has been an exceptional season for plants. This Winter, the south, particularly Florida, got hit hard with cold weather which destroyed much that was or going to be in bloom.

When I got back from Florida this Spring, I was surprised to see all of our plantings in such good shape. As a result of the mild Winter(relatively speaking), warm Spring and Summer with rain coming in at night, this is the best season for flowering plants that I've seen since we've moved to the Cape in 1994.
