Default Unusual flower and a common bee

One of the things I like about living in Florida is the wide variety of flowers that grow here. I was photographing an unusual flower, when a bumblebee decided to stop by. Now, while I like flowers, I am not a bee fan, so these shots were taken at 200mm with the E-330. (I tend to stay far away from those little critters! LOL!

photos follow.

Nice shots. Bumblebees are really quite gentle. Years ago I worked on an herb farm and some of my duties involved cutting Lavender and something else the bees really liked which slips my mind now. I'd just shoo them away and they'd go to the next plant and all was well. That said i find 200mm perfect just because it doesn't bother them and distance makes it easier to follow them around.
