Default Busking... some pics from the London subway

A few pics from the London subway and some of the buskers. The first three taken with the e3 + 35-100f2 PP using LR3.2.

1. Accidently underexposed this -2.5EV ! I had the cam at ISo 400 when I should have just cranked it up to ISo1000 or 1250 at least. ISo 400, f2.2, 1/160s

2. A B&W - the colour looks good but the BW just seemed to be better

3. ISO 640 F2.2 @ 1/160s - I'd underxposed the shot by nearly 2 stops... only PP'd back to +1 so it still needs to be fixed.

4. E3 + 14-54 - ISo640 F5 @ 1/160s

5.. something completely different and not on the tube.. the wonderful Harriet

Cheers

HArj

Hi Harj,

Fine examples of the quality you can expect from the SHG 35-100mm lens.

That's another lens I need to add to my wish list.

Good stuff Harj, some of the best entertainers are buskers. I've often bought their CD's while travelling. Classic guitar player from Gaudi's house in Barca to a Violinist in the Paris metro.

What does the blond play........No, don't answer that. Cute lady. great pic.

I really enjoyed these pix, Harj. And watching the evolution of your lighting on your glam portraits has been amazing - I wouldn't know how to start to do the lighting you have in that photo of Harriet.

For having underexposed like you did, these sure look nice! The files obviously accept push processing very well at ISO 400.

One of my all-time favorite busker groups was the Cambridge Buskers. They have been renamed and I don't remember what they're called now but, they were sensational and have made several recordings. I remember the London buskers being quite good and providing a much-needed break from the hussle of London. I used to take the Tube in from Rickmansworth daily and at the end of that little trek, the buskers were much-welcomed.

Nice captures!

Hi Guys

Thnask fo rthe comments.. Greg.. I was really surprised by how I managed not to up the ISO but ACR/LR seems to be able to push the files really well. LR/ACR's new NR contorl's came in real handy for the first shot as there was a fair amount of colour noise showing through once I'd fixed the exposure.

Here's the orginal:

Gary, mate you were living way in the sticks but then again its a really nice part of GL to be in! I do love the buskers as they add a lot to have to use the tube!

Ted, regards Harriets shoot .. I can't even remember the lighting setup but it was a pretty fun and very eventful day. Also the first time that I had managed to get to use the Profoto Pro range in the studio and boy are they really good and now I know why the Pro's use them.
