Yes, Ken, the books are fine, but this is the ship that was used in the 1984 movie with Anthony Hopkins and Mel Gibson. (That is the one with all the pretty topless native girls running around.)

Easier on the eyes than reading a book. LOL

Naw, just big black juicy ones that have barbed hooks and people seekers built in.

You'd like it here Harj. Especially Seattle for your street shots. Google up 'Pike Place Market' and let me know when you're coming.

I was dating this Maori princess for a while when I lived in NZ, Steven.......
Both my son in laws are Islanders, David, the math teacher is from Tuvalu. Which threatens to be under water in a few years. And Tony a 6-4" Rarotongan rugby player. I haven't seen their sisters topless but one can dream, can't get beat up for that....yet.

Had our last sail of the season yesterday. Motored the boat down to the public dock, two hours down the island. Some nice homes along the shore. To take everything off it including the motor, just leaving the two working sails and took them home. Then as the wind filled in Terry and I set off back to the mooring. Of course the wind was right on the nose. The 2 hour 12 mile run down was a 19 mile 5 hour sail back. And a great sail it was too. Brisk, rail down, zig zag across Saratoga passage. As we turned the top of the island the wind died so we had our bucket of fried Chicken the beer and Kit Kat bar dinner and wondered if we should have packed the sleeping bags...!
After a while the new wind filled in and we had a slow drift to the mooring, in the dark! Picking though moored boats and half hidden mooring buoys like sea mines. Fun trip and an excellent way to finish the season.

But I'd still like to see photos of the boat as you found it.

I haven't got one as I found it. When I hitched up my pickup and tore it out of the brambles. I do have a couple after I got it home from Portland OR. They're on my external HD, I'll find one later.
Ken

Found it!
