More updates: Oly Chairman Kikukawa has resigned. That is a good start.

interesting speculation. I know that Olympus medical division business was much bigger than the camera side, but I didn't realize that Oly had such a large share of the global market. "...Olympus' share of the endoscope market is three times that of all its competitors combined."

Default This probably doesn't relate to the issues of the OWS folks, right?

Even photographers are not immune from frivolous lawsuits.

You just can't please some people. The wedding photographer is getting sued by the groom over the photographs, and wants them redone, and the photographer to pay to re-create the wedding. Now the kicker is the wedding was 4 years ago, and the couple has already divorced and the bride has moved out of the country. Another example of the fact that this country has too many lawyers.

I would make the lawyer and the idiot suing pay some big court costs and then kick them out or give them 30 days for wasting the courts time. That is just a plain stupid.

Does this really surprise you given the current status of our judicial system?

I agree it is plain stupid. Unfortunately, in reading the whole article, the photographer had already incurred $50k legal costs, and the groom's father works for the law firm, so he is getting it for free; and the judge dismissed parts of the suits but not all.

Not surprised, and I am reminded on a daily basis that most of our politicians are lawyers, from the top on down.

Default A new boat for Scouse??

Hey gang: I think I've found another boat that Ken should investigate purchasing. I bet everybody in his neighborhood would be jealous!

Steven, this would be perfect for Ken. I think we can safely say there's nothing like it in the Pacific Northwest. And who could pass up the opportunity to own a bunch of plastic CocaCola trays?
