Hmm, looks like and old Norwegian, Colin Archer double ender....with a paint job...!!!

Great isn't it???

And just to make your day. My daughter is off to India for this years Xmas holidays. One of her stops besides the Taj Mahal of course is renting a lake houseboat, similar to the one you've posted, on Lake Kerala.

Hmmm, wonder how that would go on the Puget Sound?

You guys have posted some excellent photos of the old B17's all spiffed up like new.
Here's a video of one that was slightly misused in the Pacific. Well worth watching.

Funny the photos of it getting fixed up were from England.

Thanks, Ken. You don't often hear about B-17s on dangerous missions in the Pacific - very interesting.

Thanks Ken for refreshing our memories. It is important that we remember and honor our warrior heroes, especially with Veterans Day coming soon.

11th hour, 11th day, 11th month. ended the "War to end all Wars"

I still remember some 60 odd years ago, we use to stand in the school hall for the "Two minutes of Silence." We stood in front of the dusty wooden paneling with all the names of the "boys" from our school who were killed in that mess, painted on it in gold leaf.
I used to think, "That's not right. There are far too many."

Don't know about you guys but I'm certainly glad the "War to end all Wars" worked....

Default A Tribute to MtClimber

I don't know how many of you may have noticed that, there is an announcement posted by Steve's that Sarah Weber, otherwise known as Mtclimber passed away earlier this year.

Here is the link to the notice:

Those of you who knew her need no introduction.

May she rest in peace.

Sad news indeed; I always enjoyed reading her posts. I had noticed that there were none in the past 6 months, and now we know why. i posted condolences on the thread.

Too young for that. If not in body, certainly in spirit.

So that was Mt Climber. I just remember she was generous with praise and helpful with her critique.
R.I.P. Sarah.
