You too guys. Happy Turkey Day.
Nice to see you're carrying on the tradition of 'Harvest Festival' we brought over from Merry Olde Engerland...

While we all enjoy spending the day with our families, sharing good food, and watching the football games today, please take a minute to remember our fighting men and women stationed around the world today.

Let God keep them from harm's way...............

On the Japan Today news blog, there is unanimous skepticism that the Japanese government will actually impose any sanctions or penalties on the guilty parties. Apparently, if this does occur it would be a historic first. The folks in the blog note that the US does better than Japan - at least in cases like Enron we did put people in jail.

I found this view startling since I have felt we don't do squat to punish people - what's happened to anyone in the banks that caused the world-wide recession we're in? That we're better than Japan is really, really sad.

Really, not one person has had to answer for the "World" bank fiasco created in this country. Heads should have rolled but I'm feeling that to try and single out people who were involved, the ramifications would roll into higher echelons of government.
Who are the smug asses who think that we are somehow better than anyone else after that major cover up.
