Default back in business!

Hi all,

Had to share my excitement.. my 50-200 SWD is finally back from repair!

After a five week wait and a [url="http://forum.fourthirdsphoto.com/showpost.php?p=517342&postcount=28"]very disappointing experience with Olympus Australia Repair Centre[/ur], I can finally give my new E30 a proper run!

The weather forecast for tomorrow is bright and sunny, and I've got the whole day to familiarise myself with the E30, 50-200 SWD and both teleconverters! Can't wait!

Hi Adam,

Good for you! You're going to have a ball with the E-30/50-200mm/EC20 combination.

Looking forward to your posting some results.

Zig

I'm glad you got it back - it's the lens you need for the birds you shoot.

It's unfortunate that Olympus repair in Australia is so unbusinesslike. The repair service for Europe (located in Portugal) has the same reputation.

The US east-coast repair service has the reputation of being outstanding, and appears to be a private business with a contract with Oly. If so, and if that's not the case with Oz or Europe, I wonder if that's the reason for the difference.

I thought you had the E-620 as I saw some awesome shots from that combined with the 70-300.

I did indeed have the E620 up until about 3 weeks ago when I bought an E30 (and sold the E620).

Thanks gents, had a great day out with the gear, sorting through the pics now.

Congratulations on finally getting through the process. It's amazing how long 5 weeks can seem when something like this is happening...
