Default Couplea New Puppy Shots

My girlfriend's lastest baby, a 6 month old schnauzer. Katherine keeps the lighting in her home rather dim in many of the rooms. Last week I tried a few shots using the E-PL1 and my FL50R flash. The Pens do not utilize the AF assist light on the flash and is frustrating as heck because you have to turn on several lights in her home the raise the ambient light to a level where the camera can latch onto a subject and focus.

No problems though with an E30 and FL50R that'll snap anything into focus in complete darkness with the flash units' built-in AF assist beam.

Captured with the 12-60 f2.8-4 SWD. Meet Gabby..

What a cute puppy. We are all suckers for dog shots. #1 is a great pose.

It's not easy to capture detail in dark dog fur - you did good. And it's way too cute for words (most puppies are).

Wonderfully sharp, detailed and exposed shots of a pretty pup.

This is the photo I bring up, when my wife says, "I do not spoil our dogs."

PS: This was with the ZD 25mm pancake that some folks say is a poor lens.
