Default Made it over to Arlington Camera today...

....and put down a deposit on my E5. I'll be going back over there mid-day this Wednesday to pick it up .

Can't wait for the upcoming week. Amazon is supposed to deliver my copy of the full-game DVD of Game 7 of the 1960 World Series between the Yankees and Pirates on Tuesday, then Wednesday the E5.

A few images from this afternoon I captured with my E30 and 50-200 SWD afterwards. All RAW files processed in Adobe Camera RAW/Photoshop CS5.

Yes. It really "feels" quite excellent. My right hand just kind-of melted into the grip and I said "Oh yeah!" and the sales lady smiled at me. She's an Olympus shooter too and knew exactly what I was saying. From the moment it first hit my hands, any thought I had about possibly buying something else went away.

My card capacity will double with this camera since it also accepts my SD cards.

Can't wait to take it to that first sports event on the 21st when I go to the NHL game between Dallas and the Montreal Canadiens.

Hi Greg,

Great images. At first I thought they were done with the ZD 50mm2.0 macro.

BTW, Not to change the subject BUT, since you brought up baseball, this may be the year for you to finally visit Fenway Park.

With Carl Crawford and Adrian Gonzalez joining the Red Sox this should be quite the year for baseball in Boston.

That's true....

You should look into the video of Game 7 of the 1960 series. No one even thought a full copy existed. NBC didn't even have a copy. The copy they just found not too long ago belonged to Bing Crosby, who was a part owner of the Pirates and had it recorded since he was out of the country at the time.

It's the full game in it's entirety as broadcast by NBC from Forbes Field.

A great piece of history and....the best part....the Yankees lost.

Hi Bob. Hopefully your trip is just for some basic testing/follow-up/etc.

I figure I'll head out from the office some time between 11am and 11:30am for an "extended" lunch break!
