Default Random first shots

I'm feeling out of it with all these excellent shots being shown lately so I had to put up a couple of random shots just because.

Hotel California, no way to get a decent shot. It's always busy and the road narrow but I had to post it.

Still Life, shot in the same town of Todos Santos at the place we stayed.

Silhouette, these guys were going out fishing (late) today. I had to grab this as they went under the sun just to see what would happen.

Ziggy's Osprey, on vacation..! He made a low slow pass over us and wouldn't ya know I'd just put the camera away.

They know you know.

All with the 14-45 Kit

I went back later to watch the fishing boats coming in. Nothing exciting there but Ziggy's Osprey was still "Up the pole" So I shot him with the 70-300.

The second one has a big crop factor...for effect.

Nice images, Ken. They really give a sense of the place.

Harj, when you drink enough margaritas you start seeing double, and it's easier to spot an osprey when you see two of them. I'm thinking that the real point of that photo is that it's a tribute to the Oly IBIS.

Thanks guys, just unwinding here, learning how to relax. Pina Coladas seem to be a big help. I'm doing a study on it. The Osprey was back on watch today.

Got invited out fishing tomorrow by a guy who has a second home up here. Could be fun.

Hi Ken,

Glad you made it to your destination without any more incidents (Whew!!!).

Looks like the weather is as it's supposed to be, warm and full of sunshine.
Friend of ours just got back from a weeks' stay at Marco Island, Florida. (on the other side of the continent). They tell me that the weather there last week was in the 40s for a low and low 60s for a high.

Geez, louise, I hope it warms up when I get there!!

Great pics, got me thinking about the warmer climates, photographing sunrises and sunsets, sipping on my favorite appropriate beverage and watching the world walk by. AAAhhhh.............

As for the Osprey, never saw him before in my life

Zig

Loved that first sentence.............and had to laugh. Just spent the afternoon in a dentist chair. About half way down we had ice cream. I thought "Ice cream with hard lumps?" A whole bridge had just come loose and fallen off...yeh, I know!

They say bad luck comes in threes. That's mine for a looong while I hope.

Found a lovely lady dentist with small soft hands who was "gentle with me" did a great job for about a third of US costs. Lottsa grinding, digging out a root, a new temp crown and bridge. Final on Friday. My daughter and her family arrive from Shanghai on Sat. phew!

It's in the mid 70's daytime here and mid 60's at night. Sweat shirts in the am for the coffee, sunrise and whale spotting. Five humpbacks with this mornings sunrise. Too far for pics.

I'll swear that Osprey said Ziggy sent me.

And, a good time was had by all! Dang, Ken, you remind me of that old Heehaw song, "... if it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all..." Let's hope your lucky streak is DONE!
