Default A new day/year dawning

Well, I've made a promise to myself to take a photo every day this new year.

This is the first: E-30, 12-60mmlens, Manfrotto tripod/393 Gimbal head
5 exposures blended in Photomatrix Light

Hi Dan,

It was shot at 17mm, then cropped top and bottom.

Thanks everyone. I hope I can my promise to myself as it gets me out of the house. It seems this Fall and Winter, I've turned into a couch potato.

Nice shot zig, I would not have realized that it was a 5 exposure shot, as it doesn't have the artificial look that is evident on some HDR photos that are posted.

(And I always turn into a couch potato when the outside temp drops below 60 degrees.)

Thanks Steven,

I chose to use the word blended rather than HDR for that exact reason. So many images I see posted are just a bit too strong or 'overcooked' to suit my personal taste. I like the added detail and dramatic sky that you can pull out of Photomatix Light. But, I tend to be a bit on the conservative side and tone down the intensity.
