....I just bought a bunch more APPLE stuff this past Tuesday, it seems I am making some better purchase decisions since Jan 01. Got the 'geeky' computer hardware setup the way I want for total (MAC) wireless & bluetooth dependability networking here just in time for E-PL2.

Reading rumors can and sometimes does persuade decisions, I'm glad I put the PL1 back on the shelf at Arlington Camera last week, though it was tempting at the time.

The DP report says the PL2 has a 'large sensor similar to the E-5'...... anyone read another review that perhaps explains this better?

Hi Bob: The wording on the Official Oly Press release only states that the sensor is the 12.3 mega "similar to the top of the line E system cameras"

"The E-PL2 features a large image sensor similar to the one inside the top of the line Olympus E-System cameras. The only difference between this sensor and what the pros use is that this big sensor is inside the much smaller body of the E-PL2. This high-performance 12.3-megapixel Live MOS Sensor (eight times larger than the average point-and-shoot camera sensor) delivers excellent dynamic range, accurate color fidelity, and a state-of-the-art amplifier circuit to reduce noise and capture fine image details in both highlight and shadow areas."

.....somewhere along the way of my E-PL1 lusting I had made a determination that the sensor of the E-PL1 was used as the sensor in the E-5. That is why I became curious of the statement in the DP review.

Anyway it really doesn't make any difference to my thinking, curiosity only. I had a feeling about awaiting a new release of the camera and now need to get one in my hands hoping the different grip causes it to be a bit more comfortable. I have large hands (why the E-3 fits so well for me) and the PL1 doesn't feel GOOD to me mostly due to the slim-line grip.

I am intrigued too by the bluetooth feature aspects, an app for iPhone and/or iPAD could present some interesting possibilities for sure. At one time after I retired I looked into perhaps writing some personal code for the iPHONE, maybe I need to re-look the possibility.

A PL2 is now definitely on the horizon of my desires......
