Default Adaptors

Are there any adaptors that allow other digital lenses to be used fully auto on the E series? I think the answer is probably no but worth checking

Hi,

Any digital lens made for the FourThirds system is fully compatible. That would include 43 lenses from Sigma and Panasonic.

lenses made by other manufacturers could be used by way of an adapter-but they would not be fully functional. I.E., manual focus only.

Every camera brand has its own proprietary arrangement of electrical contacts, and signal protocol. There's just no money in trying to reverse engineer this. It's not like manual lens mounts where all you have to duplicate the physical mount.

As for manual focus, that's only if the lens is designed that way...most FourThirds lenses certainly aren't!

I though that was probably the answer.
