Default The migration south begins, maybe.

Well, it looks like this is the week we begin our trip south to Marco Island. Maybe???? as life is not without it's trials and tribulations.

Last year, my wife injured her back 2 weeks prior to our leaving. as a result, we drove down a couple of days after our original departure date. She recuperated well in the warmer climate of southern Florida. But, was limited in what she could do.

Wouldn't you know it, yesterday, my wife slips on some ice and fractures a bone in her arm. Her arm is in a splint and we're waiting to get a hold of an Orthopedic MD today to determine what we have to do prior to our leaving.

One thing is sure, her arm will be in a cast for about 6weeks. Oh well, no water aerobics.

Dang, Zig! If it weren't for bad luck, you'd have no luck at all. I sure hope everything works out for you guys.

Hi guys,

Thanks.

This is the 2nd time we've booked a place in Marco. Prior to that, we had been going to the Keys for the previous 20+ years. My wife got sick of the Keys and wanted a change. We also have friends that spend the month of March in Marco so she thought it would just be more fun there.

Might be time for a change of venue.

Zig

Ouch.... Remends me of our scheduled departure with my wife in hospital for 3 days. It only got better though. Hope she's not in pain, the arm is fixable.

My turn to be jealous. We were woken by the hail last night, 2" of it as it hammered down. They're (I hate those guys) calling for 6 inches of snow tomorrow and the coldest temps of the year.

South is the way to go Zig. Safe journey.

Godspeed, Zig-

I am really sorry to hear of your wife's fall, and the resulting medical complications. Take care, and all the best to you both.

Geez, Zig, Tell your wife I am so sorry and so understand and apprciate the falling-on-ice thing after this year. If I could just up and move further south where ice NEVER happens, without consideration of needing to find another job, no one would need to try and talk me into it.
