Default White Sands and Alamogordo, Wave 2

My second sweep through the captured files I passed on the first time have now been loaded to the initial folder. Here are a few of the more interesting new ones. With these, I've processed and uploaded approximately one out of five images I shot during the trip. With a lot of the remaining shots including some of the way less than perfect dunes, most of what's left will probably never see the light of Adobe Camera RAW.

Shot with the 8mm FE, this one converted to black & white..

and this one, left in color..

On indian reservation land, I ran across this lone horse grazing and couldn't resist. The telephone lines and pole are a bit annoying, but they and the horse give good scale to everything else.

Moonrise at dusk as we were driving to Alamogordo and I had to pull off to the side and shoot it.

Some more of the never-ending lines..

Almost looks like water..

Cactus starting to bloom..

This "thing" was huge, and has obviously been a central point of dune divers. The 8mm FE doesn't really give you a good idea how big it really is because it covers such a large area.

Little critter tracks in the sand..

Creekside and back-lit, with the 8mm FE..

Again, these are great shots! Those ripples in the sand are just mesmerizing.
