Nice one Ziggy, good composure. I get the feeling that you're enjoying your anual southern migration

My grandson told me why they stand on one leg. Said if they lifed the other, they'd fall over.

LOL. Nice shot zig. Actually they stand on one leg to regulate heat loss and blood temperature. But you have to love the explanation from Scouse.

There are a number of birds with very similar markings and are similar in size that I'm not 100% sure. But I'm comfortable enough to say that it is a Sanderling.
