Default Play Ball!!

Well, the boys of summer are going to start their season Friday, March 31st.

The Red Sox play their first game of the season at Texas against the Rangers.
Personally, I can't wait.

What's this got to do with Olympus DSLR Forum? Absolutely nuthin'.
But I do know of at least 2 people on this forum( besides myself) who will be looking at that game.

Hi Greg, Bob. this is going to be a fun season

The Red Sox are looking good for the upcoming season. Hopefully they will be injury free this year.

Regards

Hi,
Yes, they certainly do look good this year. Lots of press picking them to win it all.

Which usually means the kiss of death.

...this year really should be a good season.

The Rangers unvieled the new video monster at the top of right field home run porch. Nolan Ryan said he could not closely rival the setup across the street (Cowboys Stadium) because of space, but the Rangers' model is 40 x 120 feet, will be fun to see.

Hi Bob,

I did not know that about the new video monster. I'm sure that Greg will be taking a shot of it with his new fish eye lens. Can't wait.

Hi Marcelo,

I figured that if I posted any more bird photos on this forum, I'd be banned.

Besides, what's more fun than the baseball season opener? Perhaps, a series between the Sox and the Yankees.

Quite possibly at some point...

The Rangers have also unveiled some much higher pricing on tickets. I heard on the radio this morning the opening day ticket prices are third-highest in the league, the Red Sox just happen to be one of the other two that are higher. I might be spending less time at field level and more time in the upper deck when I do go, or just go see some minor league ball. The big league team is pricing me out of going much. The only thing economical is what they charge to park, which is $10. When the Cowboys play their home games, Jerry Jones charges $60 for that same parking spot.

The Rangers Double A team is in Frisco, about 25 minutes from where I live. Even more convenient is an independent team that plays in a stadium right next door to Lone Star Park where I'm at most weekends anyway between April and July shooting the horse races.

Take that Zig! A sweep for the Tribe
Ok, so what if the Indians will finish the year in the cellar. They thumped the Socks for a sweep. I'm guessing the natives are getting restless regarding the start after everyone all but crowned them AL champs? I like the Socks, and hate the Yankees so I'm hopeful they'll get things worked out before they get themselves in a hole they can't dig out of. Wild Card will be tough in the AL this year so they need to win the East outright.

John, you forgot to mention that the Rangers pummeled the red sox into submission to it make easy for the tribe to bring out the brooms as well!
