Default The last game

Got some nice tickets for the last home game of the Edmonton Oilers last friday. Just behind he visitor goal ... and also behind the glass.

So, I took the 9-18 and the E-30 (in order to make sure that they will not turn me back with a huge lens). Because of the glass, it was hard to get some good shots but I was still able to have some decent ones.

There is probably the best one (edited with ACR to remove some noise and a bit of cropping)

The most expensive seats in the house, and probably the worst ones in terms of being able to get good photographs unless you're one of those PJ's who gets to shoot through the holes! First row seats here in Dallas are something over $300 each per game.

It would be interesting to see the type shots this lady gets at the games here with her Canon and that big white lens. I see her in this same seat, shooting with the same camera and lens every game I go to..

The good news is that we got those sets for free (gift from a parent, my wife is a teacher, since they were not able to make it) and the bad one: that snobby lady who was taking shots using that hole in the glass ... But was unable to say at least Hi! To a fellow photographer..

Ok, I shoot Olympus and she was shooting Canon with one of those big white lens and she is probably paid to do it. Still...

Next time/Year ... I'll try to go with a bigger lens.
