Default Goldfinch

Probably my favorite songbird is the little Goldfinch. The colors of this bird , especially in Spring, is just a marvel.

GOSH! that is pretty, perfect text book composition and the leafy twig sets it off so well. Have you done a card set of your songbird photos? If not you really should.

Hi Zig,

Q:
Did you do a Topaz like treatment to the twig? To my eye it looks like it was handled differently.

Great detail, as usual!

Hi Bob,

Thanks. And yes, I've recently updated some of my note cards series and have added more recent bird photos including this one. I've just not had the time to update my site.

One side note; I was recently accepted as a juried member of the Cape Cod Art Association in the category of Fine Art Photography. This photo among a number of others is on display in their Art Center. I'm pretty pleased with that.

Hi Greg,

After cropping and the usual white balance and exposure check, the entire image was sharpened a bit using a plug in that I just got called Photokit Creative Sharpener 2 by Pixel Genius.

Hi Guys,

Very much appreciate the comments of support.

As much as I like being a member of the Cape Cod Art Association, I have to say that I've learned more on this site than any other photography site or organization.
