Default Flicker with dirty beak

Unlike most woodpeckers the Flicker spends a lot of time with it's beak in the ground looking for ants. Tons of seed and suet out and they would rather dig in the dirt : )

That is quite the shot, Eric.

Great catch. I've never seen a Flicker on the ground.

I've never seen a Flicker 'period' , let alone they are a woodpecker, I did not know that either.
