Steven,

The minute I saw that photo, I was hoping you had also entered it into the POTD contest. It is a compelling image. It is the perfect example of a picture
saying more than a thousand words could say.

Very much deserved recognition. Way to go!

Thanks for all the nice comments guys, much appreciated from such talented folks on this forum.

I don't know who the gentleman is in the photograph. I was at the WWII memorial in D.C. taking some shots when I noticed him sitting there. He stayed for quite a while sitting by himself, obviously deep in thought. After I walked by, I then went back quite a ways so as to be unobtrusive, and quietly snapped the photo so I would not interrupt his thoughts.
