On the subject of classic plane photography, today's POTD is a classic example of why I do not like so much of the HDR photography I see. It's probably an excellent image on it's own. As a "special effects" image I guess it's OK, but that picture shows everything about HDR I cannot stand. Does not even look like the same thing Zig does with his great beach shots.

BTW, really nice-looking "rivits" in that above image.
