Looks like you had a fun early morning walk in the park Bob. Picked up a few nicely composed photographs along the way.
I really like the whole series.

Sorry to hear your news Ted, Zig the bird is a Yellow-crowned Night Heron.

Now, I said this as if I knew all along..... not true, I do not know a lot of birds straight away and need to look for identification. It is a beautiful heron.
http://identify.whatbird.com/obj/53/...ght-Heron.aspx. I am going to check out the iPhone/iPad APP for this one.

Gee BoBB, you didn't believe me, so you had to go look it up for yourself??? I might not always be right, but I'm never wrong. LOL

Steven,
...........it is amazing that I actually made the correct ID!

It sounds like a weak excuse but I know how this happened..... When I started the reply it was before your post (otherwise I would just have agreed) BUTTTT, before finishing, Bonnie needed me to lend a hand and then I ate a bite of breakfast. When I returned to the iMAC I noticed the reply in limbo so hit ENTER and left the house. Never saw your well received post..... I wish I knew birds better but I did ID the squirrel and mallard from experience!

That is my story; I'm sticking to it

This is true. Steven must have showed her how to use this forum because she sent out PMs to many of us warning us of that fact.

LOL! Critics! They are a dime a dozen. Probably they are just jealous that they didn't know it was a Yellow Crown Night Heron!

The great Finnish composer Jean Sibelius once said, "No one has ever erected a statue to honor a critic".
