Default 70-300 small birds

big puddle outside my house so I crouched by it to see who came along...

What are those first birds? They're really pretty. Never seen one down here. Of course, if I could fly I would not be down here, either!

........we don't have much in the way of water puddles here right now, but if we did the birds would most likely be mourning doves which aren't nearly as colorful as these.

The first is the aptly named goldfich, the second a house martin..Dapper little chapss aren't they?

Thanks for sharing; always enjoy your bird shots. I agree with the others, #1 is very colorful.
