Very cool.

Does the snow stay up there all year long?

Yes, all year. There's a ski area up there that has late runs on as well.
I took my grandkids up there last summer to play in that white cold stuff, they loved it.
Great drive as well.

How nice that must be in the summer! Escape the heat! Our Mt. Bachelor often has snow year-round - even if just a small patch.

Mt Hood has a great summer skiing area as well. Where are you there? I lived in Florence and Eugene for a while. Love the Orygun coast..

I'm in Central Oregon - La Pine... About 30 miles South of Bend, but higher in elevation. It's much more desert-y here.

I too love the coast. Have only visited once, a little over a year ago...

hey Ken

You do live in possibly one of the most beautiful parts of the world.. and Jeannie Oregon's just the same ! The 3rd shot reminds me of a scene I saw on the BBC's last night...

The last time I was in Bend.. the landscapes on the way there from Ptwon was pretty stunning.. covered in snow for a big chunk of the way and i was surprised how different it was compared to up state in Portland.

Cheers

Harj
