Fun fotos Angie. From the sunset to the scruffy little guy. Without perspective the toadstool (or is it a mushroom) becomes a giant....

The mushroom/toadstool IS pretty good sized. It's part of a "fairy ring"-an almost perfect circle of extremely green grass with the fungi growing in the green area. Once the fungi exhaust all the soil nutrients that they have pulled to the surface (which results in the extra green grass), the grass ring will die and the mushrooms (or toadstools!) will expand in a new and larger ring. An unusual natural phenomenon.

Now you've spoilt it for me. Took me right back to my elder cousin telling me about Father Christmas 60 years ago.

No real fairies in the fairy....sob...!!!

There were a few chiggers though! I was lying on my stomach to get the angle I wanted on the mushroom and though I am not terribly chigger prone, I did get a couple of bites. Today there are even more of the toadstools. This is in the ditch/right of way area near my home--I hope they don't mow it all down.

Nice shots Angie; I especially like the composition of your mushroom shot.
