....the warship is just amazing, I would very much like seeing it first hand.

We have thousands upon thousands of windmills on the plains of Texas but your image is the first I've seen on (a desert of) water and for the sunset mode..... I would have 'cheated' the same, it is a beautiful image.

As mentioned before, going to see the Vasa was the main reasonto go to Stockholm (we had no shore excusion booked one day before arriving) and seeing it was one of the high point of this trip. Even with the poor lighting, I would have stayed there a couple of hours !

As for the windmills, we have a couple of dozens of them here in South Alberta but there, they are basically everywhere ... In the shallow sea. It is really something to see.

Great fun, thanks for posting! That sailboat really gives you a sense of the size of those wind turbines.

Ted

PS: I know you don't know this, but don't use the term windmill near anyone who works with wind turbines - they really get offended (trust me, I've made that mistake ). The reason is that there's a huge difference between them. Windmills turn because the wind pushes the flat windmill blades. Wind turbines turn because the blades are airfoils just like airplane wings and the wind creates "lift" (in the horizontal direction, of course). This design converts way, way more of the wind's energy into torque, allowing power generation at much lower wind speeds. It's like comparing a rowboat to a racing powerboat.
