Default Hibiscus

I haven't posted any flower shots in a while.

Here is a shot with the E-3. This was just a grab shot, not any time spent composing, just shoot and go on. I like the soft colors, but still has that "Oly" look.

JPEG, OOC, no PP, ISO 800, f5.2, 70-300mm lens, late evening shot with fill flash.

Nice! I like how sparkly flowers are, when shot in macro.

Thanks Jeannie. It is actually not a macro shot. It is actually a telphoto shot using the long end of the 70-300mm telephoto lens.

....looks a bit like a piece of 'fancy' sugar candy. The hibiscus bloom can be edible and this one is surely pretty.

Thanks Bob. Even though I am old, I am still still learning new things. I had no idea that hibiscus blooms were edible. I have a lot of them around my yard for looks. I never knew that they could also be used to save on groceries.

Yo, Bob, now we need to get his wife to take a picture of him crawling around the yard eating flowers.

Hey Ted: No, I won't have to crawl for two reasons. 1: as you can see, my hibiscus are tall enough so the blooms can be picked without crawling, and (2) my wife is in charge of the food purchases. LOL

OK, that's a good photo, but not hilarious like the one I requested.
