Default Bird in hand

Been practicing a couple days but the birds aren't being real cooperative. I try to get them to land and feed on my hand but they don't hang around long and getting a shot off is not easy.

.....I recon it is cool. I once had a chipmunk eat from my hand but never has a bird done it, and I've tried a couple times.

Hi Eric,

It's great that you have tried to this and the results are pretty impressive.

I've seen chickadees fed from the hand before. But I've tried a few times and they just don't like me as I've newer had a bird land on my hand.

I'm looking forward to more.

Zig

Fun shots, great wing speads there, as they try to hover.

Sharon has had good luck with birds landing on her hand. She even did it with sparrows last time in England. Best are the chickadees, she'd go out to feed them in the morning in Park City, they'd land on her head while waiting for the food.

I believe you but that sounds a bit, um, risky.

Know whatcha mean

We're talking 30 below, couple of foot of snow and at 7,000ft, all rugged up complete with wool cap!!!
She used to hang pine cones and each morning she'd slather them with warm peanut butter. The birds would lay in wait.

Wow Eric: that is so cool. I would not have thought of birds feeding from the hand.
