Default A touch of Paris.

We were rearanging our dining room over the weekend and decided to change a couple of the prints (Old bought ones) and put up a couple of new ones (Mine!) The trip to Paris a couple of years ago seemed like a good idea. We didn't just want to put up postcard shots so we chose a couple of fun ones. 8x10 in 11x14 frames.

Looks like I'm into my B&W 'phase' at the moment and having fun with it.

1st, The postcard shot. Well one I like and the first one I shot as we walked to the tower.

2nd Sitting in a Bistro on the Rue Cler and I wonderd "what would happen if"

3rd, Self portate, out of focus with lousy composition. Who'd do that?

4th, A reminder of our walk (crawl) up apt in Paris. 95 steps.

5th I didn't print it but I'm posting it because...

Thanks guys, just a fun project although I've just tried the potd...twice. but that crop thingy is impossible to use.
Twice I tried and it cut me down to 1/4 inch squares that I couldn't recover. Never mind, pissed me off.

I liked that shot of the stairs, every day I've think of it...at the wrong time then one day before facing the 95 steps, I shot it.

I like the way my wine glass shot came out for fun as well.

Ken, that crop thing for POTD is only to create a thumbnail-type image for like a lead-n display. The POTD itself is kept and displayed here in it's original format. I went batty for a while, too, until I finally just posted the thing and found out different.

Thanks for that Gary...I thought I was getting dumber...than usual. It's like one of those silly, impossible, chase the square, kids games.
Maybe it's just to cull the idiots and stop them posting.
I tried again after the last post, even cropped it square myself to try it....Aaaaaaagh!!!!

Phew, that's better. Thanks..

Yes, and the crop window can be dragged with your mouse to move it into the best position before you save the entry.

Finally got it Steven. The first few tries, thinking that, that was going to be the display, then when I tried to move it, the window closed on me and wouldn't come back for a retry. Oh well, might have just been an exercise anyway.
