Default Blue frog

Oly E-3, 50-200mm at 183mm, ISO 800, f5.6, no PP.
Intense colors on this little fellow from South America, but he is poisonous.

Steven,

Beautiful frogs but touching one of this guys could cost you your life.

The aborigines in the Ecuadorian jungle rub their darts with the skin of these frogs to spray poison on the tips, with these darts they hunt wild boars, monkeys and deers that are paralyzed by the poison.

You did a good job with your camera.

I was going to ask you, then how they catch them but knowing the folks on this forum I already knew the reply - "carefully".

Great shot, Steve. Glad there was some glass between you and it. Not that you'd be prodding it along to get an action shot or anything.

Nice shot and color. The diet of these frogs is what makes them poisoness. In captivity they are fed crickets and become non toxic. Love the color

Thanks guys, glad you like it. And yes, there was nice thick glass between it and the camera!

You have to love the way Olympus replicates the colors without the need to do PP.
