Thanks Lordje, glad you like it.
It is a JPEG straight OOC with no PP. It was a hanging flower basket which was attached on a light pole. It looks like a close up, but I made that shot with a telephoto 200mm lens at f9, center weighted average metering.

Perhaps I should mention that the hanging basket was actually in front of a little country house outside of Orlando. some people might recognize it.

Well, at least Lordje liked the shot.

LOL I posted a photo of a Bird of Paradise flower, and get a hilarious series of comments after the thread was hijacked by Scouse. Then I post another flower shot and it is mostly ignored. Oh well, I still like the shot.

You can only post Steve and in the end it's your feeling about the picture that counts
Thanks for sharing.

Steven, I was going to comment but then forgot.

It's not anywhere near your usual excellent photos, because there's no detail in the petals - they're just red blobs. This may well be because the process of uploading a file here seems to cause it to lose detail. Can you post a link from your photo site so we can see what it really looks like?

Ted

Ted, you are right on, as usual. I went back and checked Smugmug. and the original detail seems there. Here is a different download that is a direct link to the image on Smugmug. You can click on this one and go to it in Smugmug. It looks like this direct link retains what I see on the original image in Sumgmug and what I see on my card dump in the computer. I shot this at the full 299mm and being a Disney flower, it was very clear and red. What do you think?

Much better! Uploading an image here is only OK if it's not critical.

Nice geraniums Steven, Much as I like the flower, the shot I like best is the one outside your country home in Orlando?! Great compositon and bokah.
