Hi Gary,

It's great to see you posting this morning with all the tornadic activity in your area.

The cardinal is one of my favorite birds. They seem to avoid me when I'm out with the camera. You are more successful than I am in capturing them.

Thanks, Greg. It's great to BE posting today. We were EXTREMELY blessed as the folks just north and south of us caught the really nasty stuff.

The secret to my success is: I don't go out. No, really. I don't go out. I shoot from my office/studio behind the window. The perfect blind. Of course, I have to clean the windows a LOT what with all the bird strikes. But, it's worth it.

Great shot! Like Greg (The other one ) when I meet them with a camera they're gone.
He's got that faraway look like he needs to be somewhere warm. I see it in the mirror a lot.

Gary, that shot is perfect. Composition, natural lighting, pose, detail, bokeh - everything.

I see it, too, Ken. Especially, after last night's snow!
