Default A grand day out

We went for an all day drive today...and remembered to take my Camera.
Ran into all kinds of things on the way. From Snow Geese to Oyster Catchers. From Beaches to islands.

Long day out and photos to prove it. Hang in there and let me know if it was worth it..

Sometimes the Pacific Northwest is just the greatest place.

Snow Geese (3)
Notice the Eagles nest, he kept flying around making them nervous.

Mt Baker way up above

Robin (A happy one) in the berries

Early Cherry Blossom

Down to the La Conner Waterfront. The first postmaster was asked the post office name so he chose his wifes. Louise Ann Conner. Lot of people guess it was a French name...wrong!

Revisited the boat graveyard.

Backlighted islands just float in the haze.

Roots, No really...Roots...

Driftwood.

I'd say you had a pretty busy but fun day. What a great collection! We get our share of Canada geese here but NOTHING like the Snow geese you showed. Wow! Too many to pick out a favorite but I do like the pebbles, cherry blossom, roots, and that sunset. Well done, dude!

Hey big guy, I really enjoyed looking at those. What a great day that must have been. Really nice shot collection, you covered a lot of ground. The Oyster Catcher bird is new to me, I don't think we have them around here as I don't recall seeing one. Glad you shared those.

That was a nice day out Ken and very nice pictures you made during that day.
There are too many of them to say what my favorites are

Thank you for sharing!

Thaks for the comments you guys. It really was a fun day out and I got to take quite a few shots. Funny I thought I'd have about 3 keepers but what I got was a good cross section of a fun day. It was good to find the Oyster Catcher, they weren't that shy either. They figured if I was any danger I'd have slipped on the seaweed and gone splat!

Realised after I'd posted that I'd made the photos smaller than usual and "lost a lot of the dramatic impact" C'est la vie

There's a couple more in here to round out the day.
