Default E3 Portraits from India....

Hi Guys

A few portraits from the old world....:

1. Giani Karam Singh - Giani means "One with Knoweldge" and this chap is the lead teacher of a leading Sikh religious school. E3 + 35-100f2

2. Nihang Singh - E3 + 35-100f2 @ ISO 1250 - The Nihangs are a military order of Sikhs, the name itself refers to "crocodiles". These guys are always heavily armed - usually carrying swords, daggers, battle axes, spears, pistols and anything else that'd come handy in a battle, even when their advanced in years. Really annoyed that I let the cam pic ISo1250 but having the F2 and then using LR4 it did a pretty amazing job on the final file - plenty of detail and churning out a 14Mb jpeg!

3. A friend of the family from the UK, doing voluntary work with a local school that he helped to setup. E3 + 14-54 ZD

4. Holi - Kids out on the streets covered in coloured powder...pretty dangerous if your wearing clean smart clothes on the day and I was lucky as they all thought I was a press photographer!

E3 + 14-54ZD

Cheers

Harj

Really good shots, Harj. Is this trip the reason we haven't heard from you much lately?

Fantastic series, number 4 is my favorite.
Somewhere I have a feeling that you work as photographer for a magazine or newspaper.
