Default Signature

A professional friend of mine suggested I use a signature. While I don't like watermarks, he insists that if I'm going to "display for sale" they will add to the value of the work. While I have no intention of using one for the images I display here or on other forums, I gave it a whirl. Let me know what you think.

Well, I like it and suggest you continue it.

BTW, did you do it with ASP, how? I did it a few years back with photoshop but have never tried working it out with Bibble Pro (ASP).

Thanks, Bob.

I signed a white sheet of paper with a black Sharpie, scanned it, then in Gimp I inverted the colors and filled in the white with a medium gray. Eventually, I'll use a transparent background.

I have a signature scanned that I use for cards but meant what you used to overlay it onto the image.

I like it...you may have noticed I put my logo and copyright on everything I post here or anywhere on the internet. I am not a fan of watermarks either, and put mine in a location which could easily be worked around, but I still think it would make people think twice....

But I have also found several of my pictures in plazes on the internet I had not authorized and sent them a letter and they were removed, of course they claimed innocence and blamed their web developer...I asked for their name and address but they declined and said they would have it removed, I told them I would sell them the rights to the image but they declined.

So you are never really safe once it is online....

But I like yours, simple but nice.

Jim

I think it's perfect: legible, artistic, and small enough to not distract from the image - I have seen some where the name is so prominent you lose interest in looking at the image. I would say, though, that if it were me I wouldn't tilt it but that's just a matter of personal taste.

I like the signature Gary, it is original...!!

I don't like the fonts that PS offer and what you did is a great idea.

Thank you for sharing.
