Fell out of the back of one of those beasts back in the day, several times at night over forgotten places...can't say, still "my eyes only" type of shit....wonderful aircraft and great for high altitude HALO jumping....

The C-5 was my favorite...even bigger and could house a whole electronics SF command console...with very sophisticated stuff and still room for us in the back to fall out of....

Ahhh the terror of the memories....

Thanks for the rekindling...won't sleep well tonight!

Jim

They convinced you to jump out of a perfectly good airplane? They talked Ken into that also.

Didn't mean to interrupt your sleep routine, Jim. Maybe the next time you are back in Florida I can hear some more about it.

The C-5: what a monster size. It's hard for folks who have not seen one to realize how big it is. Here is one out of the Air Force Reserve Command at Westover, Massachusetts:

Steve.. just checked.. the "Flying Aces" air show is 30th June.. so just 4 weeks away. I'd love to have the EC14 for that but its near 400UK price keeps putting me off.

That sounds like a good show Harj. It's always a treat to see those WWII aircraft flying. That should be some great photo ops.

I understand about the EC14. I have resisted buying one, as my Oly 50-200mm images can be cropped 50% while retaining the image quality. (IMHO)
