probably
I think I would want to see the jpegs first
I love to ISO bracket lately, and blend them together tonemapping the result

the 16Mp sensor has a lot of potential to reduce noise (I get a lot) a long way there, but I think I would want to see whats happening with colours in jpeg first.

Also video would play a part, I bought GH2 purely to run 25p 16x9 HD video

Would I go from my E500 with the usable ISO of all the way up to, maybe, 400. No stabilizing, dim viewer, no external, remote for flash or shutter...whine whine whine.

Nah!!!!

Well maybe but I'd keep my 500.

Maybe so, but I still use mine from time to time - it still capture good images as long as you have daylight.

I'm just hoping the hype on an E-7 won;t go over board like before which just got totally out of hand for the E-5

Personally, if Oly do this right (E3/5 body) + EM5 sensor tweaked + accurate AF + decent video (may be not quiet up to the GH2), I think they would sell out pretty quickly, esp to those that have the HG/SHG lenses. Now if they shaved off 1-2mm all over so that it would be slightly smaller than any of the previous E-Xs that would make it even more tempting.

Lets hope end up marketing it properly as well - they have upped their game in the UK for the EM5, which is in every camera mag on a weekly basis.

I think the 5-way IS should be included as well.

Yep, I thing Harj and Ted hit it right on the money. They don't need a radical change; an E3/E5 body with the items mentioned by Harj and the 5-axis IBIS mentioned by Ted would make a lot of Oly users very happy.

The price is the main factor 1500, I would seriously think of jumping ship Nikon d600 full frame, but I would also need to get a range of lenses, but would run a parallel system.

If they still want the semi pro people to use Olympus they need to keep 100% viewfinder, splash proof and not to small.

Get the auto focus upto par, I have missed so many shots!!!, also get good autofocus in dark room, still to slow even with fl50 flash on.

Radio flash trigger with new flash. Would be handy.

HD video yes.

Good 1600 ISO. Keep CF card. With sd card.

All this for 800 I will buy.

Why I still like Olympus. Two lenses cover 12mm - 200mm (24mm - 400mm) Dust reduction system still the best. Body image stabilistation quick menu system.

My E3 is 4 years old now E5 was not worth the upgrade, Olympus need this to keep people like me using their system for the next 5 years and on.

If they do pull this off making the 35mm-100mm swd would be the icing on the cake.
