Default Dogwood in the rain

I was trying to get a shot of the twins. Saw 2 little spotted fawns about the size of border collies. But the mother saw me....

So, While I was on the deck, camera in hand, no deer in sight, I took the moment to shoot the dogwood...in the rain...

Very nice, Ken!

You made the fawns stay outside in the rain?

....and I am glad you did, I can almost feel being on the porch seeing it. There is something about a slow rain and nature that causes a 'feel good' shiver.

I've never seen dogwood blooms, do they smell good too?

Really nice shots Ken. Good exposure without blowing out all the white petals.

I'm curious on which species of dogwood that is, as the blossoms are different from the ones that I am familiar with here in the eastern USA.

Since I took those shots I've been noticing a lot of different dogwood. Most seem to have smaller flowers in either white or pink. Some roads on the island here seemed to be lined with them, growing wild. Some gave us that one as a house warming.

But to answer your question on species. I dunno...
