Default Hawk with snake

The rain stopped today and I went for a walk this morning. A hawk flew out of the woods beside me and landed on the roof of one of the houses. He had a little snake that he had caught, and he stayed there for a couple of seconds. Had to crop the photo quite a bit, so the detail is not up to par, but I still like the shot.

That is an awesome image of nature, just too bad it is a house top and not a tree, but nevertheless it is one of those excitement things to see.

hah! I'm here. I was wondering if Steven was going to post the image, after he mentioned it in another thread. Good job, Steven. There's plenty of detail in the hawk.

Cool photo Seven.

I've seen hawks fly over with snakes but never been that lucky.

Excellent, a manly photo! Nice change from birds and flowers, if you catch my drift...

(Just kidding)

Does that bloated throat mean it's bellowing (or whatever it's called)?
