Default Fully Golden

The gold finches are fully decked-out in their summer plumage. A little soft but I like it.

Yeh, I like it too. We have a lot around here but for some reason they don't hang out on our feeder or suet.

Nice shot. We can't get them to hold still long enough for a pic around here.

Thanks, Ken. Have you tried Nyjer thistle seeds? They can't resist 'em.

Thanks. They are a little antsy, aren't they? A challenge to shoot sometimes.

These are my absolute favorite birds. They are so brilliantly yellow this year that it almost hurts your eyes to gaze at them. Our son was admiring a bunch of them hanging on the thistle socks and said that it was hard to imagine they weren't expensive birds that had escaped from an exotic pet store.

Wonderful, just wonderful!

Not too soft for me...still has good detail and the catch light is sharp!

Nice catch Gary. Very pretty bird and the yellow color is striking. Supposedly Florida is one of their winter destinations, but I have never seen one in this area.

I fully agree, Angie. They do look like escapees!

Thanks very much, y'all! I'm surprised they haven't all melted in this heat.
